Vocational Teacher in Forest Production and Forest Care

Öknaskolan's Natural Resources Gymnasium is looking for you who wants to help launch the forestry specialization at Öknaskolan. The first students will start in the autumn of 2027. Until then, among other things, you will work with planning, participate in the purchase of equipment, and assist in recruiting for the forestry team.

About Us

Öknaskolan has approximately 240 students, of whom 160 live in the school's boarding house. The school offers education at the upper secondary level within the Natural Resources Programme, the Vocational Introduction Programme, and Adapted Upper Secondary School focused on natural resources. Our goal is to provide the next generation with the best possible education. Öknaskolan is part of Region Sörmland.

Your Responsibilities

The position involves both practical and theoretical teaching within forestry subjects, focusing on forest production and forest care. Other subjects within the natural resources programme may also become relevant based on your experience and competence. We offer an stimulating work environment where a student focus is a given. You will become part of the forestry team, where teachers and instructors plan the teaching together to give the students the best possible conditions.

As a teacher at Öknaskolan, you are highly involved in systematic quality work, values-based work, and pedagogical development. The position includes mentorship.

Your Qualifications

• Basic education in forestry or equivalent experience, preferably combined with further training in the field.
• You thrive in the role of a teacher and enjoy working with young people. You have the ability to see connections between theory and practice.
• A driver's license with at least category B is required.

Employment Terms
